Sailfish tartare ($11.00):

... with raspberry puree was a delicious dice of fresh, fruity fish. House made flatbread ferried this berried, raw, ration at Riffle NW.

Petrale sole ($27.00):

... was surfaced with sea urchin sauce with its crunchy, salted, fried skeleton as a sail stabbed into this moist marine meat washed down with 2011 Ovum Riesling.

Riffle continues to deliver delectable sea-stanance.

The cheesy decor at Via Delizia:

... accented our afternoon eats as we chomped on panini ($8.00 each, $1.50 supplement for soup).

A mozzarella, basil and tomato filled "Caprese":

... and the "Tivoli Garden":

... filled with roasted carrots, zukes, eggpland and mushrooms both had a nice balsamic vinegar bite to them. The sides were less interesting with a blandness that kept our attention on the sweet carrots nestled in the nooks of the garden variety sandwich.

The friendly staff and goofy design added loft to our lunch. We will have to check out their gelato next visit.

Chicken fried beef tongue ($15.00):

... offered marvelous mouthfuls of crisp-crusted mastication manipulator at Clyde Common.

This tender taste bud bobbed in a pool of onion gravy with potato pucks of hash browns. Mustard seeds dotted this delectable dish that acted as an intro to the newly added brunch service.

Word has not gotten out - Portland is brunch crazy but the dining room was underpopulated at this Common ground for cravable cuisine.

Both bowls
of noodle soup ($8.00 each):

... were served with herbs mixed into a pile of chopped iceberg and bean sprouts at HaVL.

We dumped our foliage into the pork broth bobbing with pork balls, pork meatloaf and fish balls as well as the lemongrassy pork and beef variation.

Both of these swell, swiney swims were delectable drownage that made us want to circle back to check out their other liquids on their list soon.

A pleasingly eggy waffle was topped with fried chicken ($7.50):

... at Miss Kate's Southern Kitchen. Syrup sweetened this crisp-crusted clucker on this denty dough.

We'll have to return to sample some of their dishes collard with greens.

We lounged with a couple drinks:

... at Mint 820:

... where a lamb burger ($13.00):

... with mint chimichurri chimicheered us with its bleat meat rooted with crispy-fringed, sweet potato fries.

The fish and chips ($15.00):

... was under seasoned to our taste with limp shoestrings that didn't tie the dish together.

The staff was friendly at this minty mingling spot but it may not end up on our rotation.

Quod Brasserie:

... is a solid structure near some al dente dens in Oxford.

This restaurant's spaghettini carbonara (£11.50):

... was standard issue carbness. Green beans (£2.75):

... were a verde variance that offered some snappiness to this 'sta supper.

Slept through the inflight food and but managed to get some plane worthy fare at Atomic Pizza. This high street hangout was filled with 80's pop culture knickknacks to divert attention from the meh-merobill of fare.

Pizza (£11.25):

... with pepperoni, onion and olives had a gluten and flavor free crust while the onion rings (£2.50):

... were okay alium o's that weren't worth any hoopla.

This eighties eatery succeeded in delivering chow from that era with a modern gluten awareness.

In the past, we have found Lauretta Jean's baked goods at Café Vélo but their new doughy digs is an escalated eatery with an assortment of flour-foundationed formulas.

Egg and jack cheese ($6.00):

... filled a crusty, buttery, fluffy biscuit bedecked with a tangle of ribbonized Brussels sprouts. This breakfast bakeage was excellent eating with yolk saucing this swell stump.

Lauretta Jean's remains in our mastication rotation.

The 3 sashimi combo ($20.00):

... at Mirakutei:

... was populated by plump peche planks of silky salmon, hamachi and maguro.

These fine fish flaps were followed by fluke ($2.50):

... Ikura ($3.00):

... sweet shrimp ($3.00):

... scallop ($2.50), uni ($3.00):

... and salmon belly aburi ($3.00):

A satisfying seafood stop, but our Portland portals of preference remain Bamboo and Hokusei.
