Grilled halloumi (£6.25):

... was a squeaky reminder of London living at Kaslik.

Baba ghanouj (£5.75):

... bolstered with pomegranate and lemon juice was delectable dip along with hoummos (£5.25):

... with pepper and pine nuts.

The potatoes barata harra (£5.25):

... were starchy, garlicy, salty, crispy and craveable as a backboard to rich lamb shawarma (£11.95):

... was served with pita to soak up the fine fattiness and lamb kafta (£11.95) with minced onions:

Our Lebanese feast was an enjoyable Soho supper.

The chicken club (£10.95):

... at Chez Bob:

... was not the expected multi-decked bread bundle, but it did have the requisite avocado, bacon lettuce and tomato in this tower of tucker which arrested its development with club sauce.

Bob Loblaw’s law blog would bail on this chez rather than return.

Calamari (£8.00):

... was dressed in a tomato and basil to this chili and salt spiked squid at the Grazing Goat.

Cod (£17.50):

... conferred with saffron potatoes in a truffle dressed, runner beaned, minted-peaed dish while the pork filet (£17.00):

... was side stripped with bacon, black pudding, spuds and green beans.

These grazeworthy goods were goat and tied up with a chocolate and hazelnut mousse (£7.00) with honeycomb ice cream and Earl Grey toffee banana strudel (£7.00) with vanilla ice cream.

This noshing nannie node was a fine ruminant with a chew.

We flew into The Beehive:

... for some fish and chips (£10.99):

... with minted mushy peas. The potatoes were on the soggy side in this standard issue pub grub.

The burger (£11.50):

... was a lamb patty ringed with fried onion and melty red Leiscester cheese. Chorizo added spike of spice to this salad sided sandwich washed down with a Rekorderlig cider:

... that was on the sweeter edge of my preference.

This place wasn’t a-pollenly good so we probably won’t make a bee line back.

In flight omelets are a bad idea, but the accompanying sausage was what caused a sudden drop in cabin pleasure.

Fruit and boiled potatoes completed the food as fuel theme before it was time to deplane.

It seems like the majority of warm nuts:

... are eaten in airplane seats.

It could be argued that most nuts are superior cold, but somehow, the heated presentation seems like a fancier idea since their is an intermediate, energy-introducing, step of their delivery.

Beef:

... seemed like the safest way to steer.

It came with a cowlage of peppers, salad:

... and under-ripened cheese.

Air Canada never seems to serve up moose or maple, but they do get their eh-roplanes to their destinations.

It’s difficult
to pass up Pix when we are on Burnside.

We pixed up some cloud-like confections of macarons:

... and luscious lumps of dark chocolate-enrobed, filled chocolates:

... but resisted their delectable cakes for today.

A cloud of meringue hung over a lemon curd base:

... at Lauretta Jean’s:

... where we also wedged in our standby of blackberry streusel:

... at the pie-mary place for placating our crusty cravings.

We will miss the pierameters of this portal when we part ways with Portland.

Our pals gifted us with a box from Casa de Chocolates.

These marvelous morsels:

... melted in our mouths with fabulous flourishes of fruit, coffee, caramel and spice with a Latin American lilt.

We will have to visit this venue when we are in the Berkeley borhood.

The Original Pancake House is like an old timey iHop.

Once our waiting room:

... stay was up, waitresses in pink dresses:

... delivered ham and over easy eggs ($10.50):

... with a short stack as well as some crisp strips of bacon balanced by some scrambled eggs ($10.50):

... and flapjacks. All the chow was standard diner fare.

This serviceable stop for sustenance may not be a place we will return, but they won’t miss our patronage as their place is packed with families of fans.
