Chris Cosentino’ed:

... a collection of cooking under the dome:

... at the Westfield Center for the Stand Up To Cancer benefit featuring Eurhythimcal performances:

...potables and pork.

Bits of belly topped with tomato:

... seafood cocktails, luscious lamb:

... and beets with tallegio and filberts:

... were some of the tasty tidbits at this perky party.

Liquid nitrogen:

... solidified our sweets at Ice Cream Lab where a chocolate:

... and a salt lick crunch ($5.50 each):

... were bespoke snowpieces.

Flash-freezing pulverized pretzel in the salty caramel creation was a crafty way to keep sogginess from the shards of tiny twists. Although good, the cocoa didn’t have us smitten.

Our lab results don’t demand we return for further testing, but it was a refreshing radiation remedy.

A soft boiled egg sat in a skillet of smoked trout ($14.00):

... at The Hart and the Hunter.

Avocado toast served as a springboard for this fish flesh and nest nosh sided by a pickled pile of fennel, onions and beans.

Pancakes ($13.00):

... with pecan praline were fine flaps and saucer-shaped circles of sagey sausage ($8.00):

... meated up our meal.

This breakfast break bunker was a sating stop where they use books as decor:

... (since their digital demise.)

Gjusta’s B health department grade during our previous visit has been ad-gjusted to an A but the alphabetical status remains AOK by us.

The brownie ($4.00) at Gjusta was ‘fiably the best expression of chocolate cake we have had in a long while. A crackly surface and moist middle showed off with high quality pod product in a squared off take on traditional treatage.

Buckwheat shot through the chocolate chip cookie ($3.00) which went with our grain to give a new nudge to this classic.

The miso date cookie ($3.00) was also good, but was trumped by the cocao competition.

Gjusta’s pie remains our fave and now the brownie has sprung ahead in our hearts as well.

Vanilla bean ice cream mashed in macaron margins made up a sweet sandwich ($6.00):

... at Milk.

This lactose lozenge was demi-dipped in a cocoa cloak to lend richness to this almondy amalgamation while a cookies and cream bar ($6.00):

... was fully enrobed in chocolate in this oreoey expression on a stick.

We enjoyed our these chilled chomps,

...but don’t assign them dental detour designation status (although the long queue of blue velvet cake fans probably don’t agree with our tastes.)

Kishka ($7.95):

... at Langer’s Deli:

... was a peppy, paprikaed, cereal cylinder hydrated with thick gravy.

This old school chub set the tone for our fish platter ($39.95):

... with whitefish and lox. We slathered toasted bagels:

... with cream cheese and topped them with the marine meat, tomatoes, cukes and onion at this perennial portal of pastrami.

This historical haunt keeps up appearances with routine reupholstery and upkeep.

We don’t visit often, but Langer’s is reliably retro.

The “downtown dog” ($5.99):

... at Dog Haus:

... lost an architectural advantage due to its saturation with sauce.

The top loaded bun held a bacon-bound beef baton capped with caramelized onions and peppers.

A side of slaw ($2.49 additional with drink):

... didn’t bark up our tree, but this link chain fetches a plentiful population of punters who form the foundation of this bau-wow-haus.

Salted chocolate pretzel ice cream ($4.00):

at Atticus:

... had a nice curve on this cocaoction with caramelized twisty bits to maintain maximum crunchiness.

This swell scoop sided one of their “pies”:

... which are actually very tarty with a pate sucree-like dough. We went with the lemon lavender ($5.25):

... which was lined with a layer of raspberry jelly:

... covered in curd and lavender cream. This delectable disk made for a sunny, citrusy stop at this domain of desserts.

Green grinds ($5.00):

... whisked in water were tea lectible at Matcha Box:

... where butter bound bonus brew spread on crustic carbs ($3.00):

in a mas matcha munch. These raked rations of verdant vittles were fine ‘feine ‘freshment (with a lagniappe lump of tea tinged shortbread matcha-stached on the tray.)

This minimalist mecca of pulverized plant potion makes modern machinations too, like the ginger-jolted “matcha bitch” (which would be a difficult item to order politely from the matcha-maker.)

Like many new nosheries, they are cash-free so the only green is in the goods at this credit card commerce company.

... had a lush upholstery of fat enriching the tender tufts of tissue at Bludso's Bar & Que.

We steered through these slabs along with prongs of pork ribs ($16.00):

... and a fine hot link ($4.00).

The chub and the brisket were more our thing than the ribs (which were less pliable than we prefer.)

Cravable collards ($5.00):

... and standard issue mac and cheese ($5.00):

... sided the main meaty event melded with draghts at this swell, smokey, pit stop.
